City of Tampa - Police has issued single source, solicitation 27-X-00031.

The City of Tampa Police Department (TPD) Aviation Unit requires specialized helicopter flight training services to maintain compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, aviation insurance requirements, and operational readiness standards. Interested vendors must demonstrate their ability to meet all applicable technical, regulatory, operational, and insurance requirements outlined in this posting.

The Aviation Unit operates Bell 407 and Bell 206L-4 helicopters and requires annual recurrent flight training involving advanced emergency procedures, aircraft system malfunctions, Night Vision Goggle (NVG) emergency procedures, aerial fire suppression operations, and specialized airborne tactical extraction training involving Human External Cargo (HEC). Due to the specialized nature of these training requirements, including aircraft-specific instruction, advanced emergency procedures, and public safety aviation operations, the City is conducting this Intent to Single Source posting to determine whether other qualified providers possess the experience, certifications, and technical capabilities necessary to perform the required services.
