What the agency needs

Program Opportunity Notice NYT-VIP from NYSERDA (rolling). Proposals due December 31, 2029 at 3:00 PM Eastern.

The New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program funding for Class 3 and Class 4 vehicles has completely subscribed. NYSERDA is no longer accepting new applications for this funding category. Applications submitted between October 3, 2025 and October 20, 2025 will be placed on a wait list and may be eligible to receive funding if other previously approved applications are cancelled or if NYSERDA adds new funding for Class 3 and 4 vehicles. Applications placed on the wait list will be processed in order by their submission date to NYSERDA. Funding For Class 5-8 vehicles and Non-Road Equipment is still available.

Questions about NYTVIP and existing applications should be directed to [email protected].

The New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP) helps fleet owners in New York State afford clean vehicle technologies that are quiet, efficient and do not emit harmful pollutants or carbon. NYTVIP provides vouchers to fleets that purchase or lease zero emission (all-electric or hydrogen fuel cell electric) Class 3-8 Zero Emission Vehicles, Non-Road Equipment, and Transit Buses. NYTVIP is open to commercial, non-profit, and public sector fleet owners with vehicles and/or equipment located in New York State, if they meet the minimum eligibility requirements in the NYTVIP Implementation Manual. Voucher amounts are based on the base price of the vehicle or equipment with additional incentives available for small fleet owners, vehicles and equipment operated in Disadvantaged Communities, and for dismantling a similar older, diesel vehicle. Information about how fleet owners, dealers, and manufacturers can participate in NYTVIP, along with the Implementation Manual can be found and downloaded at https://www.nyserda.ny.gov/All-Programs/Programs/Truck-Voucher-Program.

A Program Opportunity Notice is how NYSERDA funds work: it announces cost-shared incentives or program participation, and contractors, consultants and installers typically take part by enrolling or by proposing a project. It is not a construction bid.
