Murphy & South Fork Lateral Regional Detention Ponds (TWDB FIF Project No. 40073)

The work generally consists of the construction of two (2) regional detention ponds located near Primera, TX. The ponds will include concrete weir outfall structures with stone riprap protection, as well as low flow pipe outlets with headwalls and check valves. Additional work includes minor channel grading as well as installation of additional culverts under the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) via jack and bore and construction of concrete riprap headwalls for slope protection. Coordination with the UPRR will be required for all work in UPRR ROW. Erosion and sedimentation control measures will be required along with revegetation of disturbed areas. This contract is contingent upon the release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is/are expected to be funded, in part, by financial assistance from the TWDB. Neither the State of Texas nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees will be party to this IFB or any resulting contract. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the United States Iron and Steel (USIS) requirements of Texas Water Code §17.183 and/or Texas Government Code, Chapter 2252, Subchapter G, as amended by SB 1289 (85th Legislative Session), and 31 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §363.41, as applicable. The Owner must comply with the Texas Government Code requirements regarding nonresident bidders. If the bidder is a nonresident bidder, the bidder shall complete Form TWDB-0459 and submit it with the bid.
