City of Sugar Land, TX - Public Works - Water Distribution has issued invitation for bid, solicitation 2026-ITB-042.
The Utilities Department operates, maintains, and repairs over 650 miles of water distribution system, including 39,600 service connections. The City receives bids in Purchase of Water Parts for the City’s utility infrastructure. Bidders are asked to price an assortment of water parts along with discount rates for comparison purposes. All the vendors selected will be able to meet the City’s requirements, and will be awarded contracts based on pricing for categories, Items are ordered as needed to always maintain an adequate inventory. Financially, parts are placed in an inventory account and costs are allocated to the budget the time they are used. Funding is available in the Utilities (Repair and Maintenance Supplies) accounts to fund the parts as they are used for repairs.

In addition to our world-class destination venues, our residents can enjoy 27 city parks and over 20 miles of hike and bike trails.
