On-Call Structural and Seismic/Disaster Engineering Services
What this bid is
The City of Seattle's Finance and Administrative Services division wants to put two firms on call for structural engineering work on City buildings. The notice lists assessments, analysis, design, feasibility cost estimates and construction administration for the structural elements of new and existing facilities. It also names seismic evaluations, fall protection, plan review, permitting, and stamped construction documents as areas of interest. The firms would need to act as prime consultant on projects where asked, and the notice mentions expert witness work. This is a request for qualifications, so the City selects the firms; a contractor is not selected by submitting alone.
The notice asks for a license or registration. Confirm with the agency which one applies and that yours is current before you submit.
Questions are due 18 November 2026 at 5:00 PM PST. Qualifications are due 2 December 2026 at 2:00 PM PST. Submit electronically through the OpenGov portal, which requires a free vendor account. Contact Brett Richardson at brett.richardson@seattle.gov or (206) 684-0424.
