Notice of Intent to Award a Single/Sole Source Procurement for the Trantex Thermoplastic Applicator - Thermoplastic Pavement Markings Applicator

City of Port Orange - Procurement has issued sole source, solicitation SS-26-25-CW.

This is NOT a solicitation. The intention is to verify whether the specified services are capable of being met by more than one source. The proposed contract action is for product or services for which the City of Port Orange intends to negotiate and award with only one source under the authority of and in accordance with Florida State Statute 287.057(3)(c). Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is the City’s understanding that Transcor Supply, Inc. is the only vendor who can provide the Trantex Thermoplastic Applicator - thermoplastic pavement markings applicator, which includes the dropship and training, which the vendor is the authorized dealer with approved business locations in Jacksonville where the vendor is the exclusive vendor for Florida and Georgia distributor of the Trantex equipment and services areas. The City of Port Orange intends to recommend a sole-source procurement for the purchase of the Trantex Thermo Handliner 360M2 with Thermostat with 6" Die and Bead Dispenser. The City would negotiate a contract for these services with Transcor Supply, Inc. Interested firms must be authorized dealers for the Trantex Thermo Handliner 360M2 with Thermostat with 6" Die and Bead Dispenser and must identify their ability to respond to the requirement by submitting in writing, firm name, address, point of contact, telephone number, email, a statement regarding their clear and convincing capability to provide the specified procurement. Clear and convincing documentation shall be provided to support their position. Responses will NOT be considered as proposals, bids or quotes.

Responses are due October 13, 2026 at 2:30 PM EDT.
