Request for Qualifications – Professional Architectural Services for Bond-Funded School Renovation Projects

Putnam County School District - Purchasing has issued request for proposal, solicitation RFP #054-331-2625.

Putnam County School District seeks qualifications from experienced architectural and engineering firms to provide professional services for bond-funded improvements at Browning-Pearce Elementary, Jenkins Elementary, Ochwilla Elementary, and Q.I. Roberts Jr.-Sr. High School. The selected firm will collaborate with the District to assess current conditions, identify and prioritize facility needs, develop solutions, and deliver architectural and engineering services for authorized projects. Specific improvements and funding have not been finalized, and needs will vary by campus. Services may include facility assessments, planning, conceptual design, cost estimating, construction documents, permitting assistance, bidding support, and construction administration. Work will be assigned through individual tasks as projects and funding are approved. The District may complete some work internally or procure contractors and specialized professionals separately for specific projects. Selection through this solicitation does not guarantee exclusive rights to all improvements or services for the four campuses.

Putnam County School District is currently completing new-school construction projects funded through bond proceeds. After those projects are completed and final costs are determined, the District intends to use available remaining bond funds to address facility needs at Browning-Pearce Elementary School, Jenkins Elementary School, Ochwilla Elementary School, and Q.I. Roberts Jr.-Sr. High School The conditions, priorities, and potential improvements will vary by campus. The District needs a collaborative and practical architectural and engineering team that can evaluate existing conditions, engage District and school-based stakeholders, identify cost-effective solutions, and help prioritize projects within the funding ultimately available. The successful firm should be able to develop flexible options and project phases that minimize disruption to students and school operations while addressing safety, functionality, code compliance, and long-term facility needs The District may complete certain improvements internally or procure individual construction packages and specialized services separately. The selected firm will provide professional services through approved task assignments when architectural or engineering expertise is needed
