Notice is hereby given that the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the construction of a new Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) at Peter Prince Field. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 9, 2026 at the AMS building at Peter Prince Airport at 5550 North Airport Road, Milton, Florida 32583. Specifications may be secured through the Santa Rosa County e-Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/santarosafl Questions concerning this request should be submitted through the e-Procurement Portal by 12:00 PM on September 18, 2026. Please submit electronic responses via the County e-Procurement Portal: https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/santarosafl. Submittals may be received up to but not later than 10:00 AM on October 5, 2026. Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners encourages all segments of the business community to participate in its procurement opportunities, including small businesses, minority/women owned businesses, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The Board does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, or age in the administration of contracts. This project will install a new AWOS to replace the existing weather station that is no longer supported by the manufacturer and parts are no longer available. The work will include installation of towers, fencing, equipment, installation, FCC registration, and new power service if needed.

Responses are due October 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM CDT.

Questions must be submitted by September 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM CDT.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for September 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM CDT at AMS building, 5600 N. Airport Road, Milton, Florida 32583.
