Before you bid
- How to track bid addenda before you submit - Keep your estimate and submission aligned with the latest official notice using a simple amendment register and a final source check.
- What is a bid bond, and how do performance bonds work? - A bond is not insurance - if the surety pays, it comes after you. What a bid bond actually promises, what the federal thresholds are, and why your city's numbers will be different.
- Prevailing wage on NYC public work: what it actually requires - Most contractors price the wage and forget the paperwork. Certified payroll, worker notices, sign-in sheets and the six-year records - plus the electronic filing rule that is now in force.
