Invitation For Bid from City of Richmond - Richmond, VA

City of Richmond - Public Utilities has issued invitation for bid, solicitation IFB27003472.

The City of Richmond, Virginia (the “City”), on behalf of the Department of Public Utilities ("DPU"), seeks bids from qualified firms to establish a requirements-based contract for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Centrifuge Service and Parts project (the "Project"). The Project will entail furnishing and delivering decanter-style centrifuge parts, in addition to performing centrifuge maintenance and repair services (the "Work"). Further details, regarding the nature and prosecution of the Work, are more particularly provided below in the Statement of Work.

The City's Wastewater Treatment Plant ("WWTP") houses nine decanter-style centrifuges. A combination of these centrifuges remains in service 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The centrifuge rebuild process requires a major rebuild facility with considerable resources, including extensive machine shop capabilities. The nature of the WWTP dewatering process puts excessive wear on these centrifuges, requiring regular rebuilds. Below is a summary of the centrifuges pertaining to this Project, by location within the WWTP: A. Dewatering Building: Five (5) Alfa Laval ALDEC G3-115 Decanter Style Centrifuges. B. Thickening Building: Four (4) Alfa Laval ALDEC G3-105 Decanter Style Centrifuges.
