2026 CDBG Asbestos Abatement and Demolition Project

City of Victorville - Code Compliance has issued request for bid, solicitation MS27-034.

PROJECT NAME: CDBG Asbestos Abatement and Demolition Project The City of Victorville is soliciting formal bids from qualified contractors to perform asbestos abatement, demolition, debris removal, disposal, and site clearance at four properties located within the City of Victorville. The work will include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, regulatory compliance, and incidental services necessary to complete the asbestos abatement and demolition in accordance with the project specifications, asbestos survey reports, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. The project is funded through the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The selected contractor will be required to comply with all applicable public works, prevailing wage, DIR registration, asbestos abatement, licensing, environmental, and CDBG requirements.

The City has identified four properties containing structures that require demolition due to existing property and structural conditions. Three of the properties are privately owned and will require the City to obtain the necessary legal authority prior to commencement of work, while one property is owned by the City of Victorville. Asbestos surveys are being completed for each applicable structure and will be incorporated into the contract documents. The successful contractor will be responsible for completing all required asbestos abatement prior to demolition, followed by demolition of the identified structures, removal and lawful disposal of demolition debris, and final site cleanup in accordance with the project specifications. The City anticipates issuing authorization to proceed for each property as the necessary site access, legal requirements, and pre-demolition requirements are completed.

A mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for September 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM PDT at 11757 Kittering Rd., Victorville CA, 92394. (Will be visiting four sites listed).
