What this bid is

The City of Cleveland Economic Development office wants proposals to buy and redevelop about 166 vacant parcels owned by the City of Cleveland Land Bank in Ward 7, on the near west side of Cleveland, Ohio. The parcels total over 13 acres and are aimed at residential infill, meaning new homes on single lots or assembled sites. Bidders can propose for the parcels they choose, and the notice says the land is valued at fair market value.

The notice lists trades BusyBids filed it under as General Contracting and Environmental & Abatement, but the notice itself describes a land sale and development proposal rather than a construction contract with a stated scope or budget. Parcel details, a map and a fact sheet are attached, and the city offers a residential tax abatement for new construction and financing through the Cleveland Housing Investment Fund. Community garden or greenspace proposals are also invited with a letter of intent and a non-profit sponsor.
