County of San Mateo - Sheriff's Office has issued request for quotes, solicitation 2027-RFQ-00135.

The County of San Mateo is seeking quotations for full replacement of all steel backdrops (“shells”) on both the indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. Both the indoor and outdoor range use similar Action Target backstops, protective funneling, and lead auger/collection systems. Vendor has 10 business days (and possible weekends) to: Remove and replace old Action Target “TCT5 Back Shell Panel-AR550” with new hardware and equipment and ensure all new TCT shells installed are deemed safe/operable for live ammunition shooting. There are (20) 5 foot shells and (12) 4 foot shells. Shells must be hauled away for disposal at no extra charge to SMCSO. Vendor agrees to supply their any necessary heavy equipment such as lifts or pallet jacks to move TCT shells. Vendor must also provide their own specialty tools as needed to conduct the removal and replacement of TCT shells. The desired dates of work are 12/21/2026 to 01/01/2027 for completion. After an evaluation of all quotations, a County purchase order is expected to be issued in association with the lowest, responsive bid received from a qualified, responsible, and manufacturer/publisher authorized vendor.
